He kept everyone on the dance floor the whole night and made sure the wedding day went smoothly. Unfortunately, I picked this DJ service based upon recommendations. I think if we had had a different DJ from this company, it would have been great, but we struck out. Our DJ was terrible. From messing up my processional, (I still get mad when I think about it, I mean you get ONE chance at that!) He screwed up by being unprepared and we had gone over and over details, meeting THREE times prior to the wedding to plan things. There’s simply no excuse. He failed at calling tables for dinner, messed up the timing of a lot of things. Thank goodness I was able to get my bridesmaids and the wedding planner to stay on him and redirect the flow. He was just awful. Played songs I specifically told him not to play, and didn’t play a lot of our requested artists and songs. I have tried and tried to let it go, and we really did have a great wedding, but it just makes me mad that we paid for this service and got screwed. The owner, Jason, was absolutely outstanding when we reported all of this to him and he did make amends. I have gone back and forth about posting this review, but it is what it is. This is a great DJ service but I honestly would not recommend. Steep price tag to roll the dice on who you might be assigned. Wish I had paid extra and booked Jason himself. Jason P was phenomenal! From our very first communication through the end of the wedding, the communication was excellent, and the pricing was absolutely worth every dollar. Jason made everything feel personal, and he was welcoming and professional throughout. I wouldn’t recommend anyone more! From DJ services, to lighting, to a photo booth, they handle everything with professionalism that has garnered their fantastic reputation. We had Shawn for our wedding, and he was fantastic! From handling our custom request for our entrance song for the ceremony, to making sure the energy never left the dance floor during the reception, Shawn was an absolute pleasure, and we were grateful to have him as our DJ. We can't recommend Russ with Music Man DJ enough! From the very beginning, Russ was an absolute pleasure to work with. He struck the perfect balance between offering his expertise and allowing us to create a wedding that truly reflected our vision. We always felt heard, and his guidance made the planning process so much easier. One thing that really stood out was how invested he was in making our day a success. He even came out to our venue on an island ahead of the wedding for a site walkthrough to make sure every detail was covered and everything would run seamlessly. That level of dedication meant so much to us. On the wedding day, everything was absolutely perfect. The ceremony and reception flowed effortlessly, the sound was flawless, and the music was exactly what we had hoped for. Once the dance floor opened, Russ absolutely nailed it. The energy was incredible, and we've heard from so many guests that it was one of the best wedding dance floors they've ever experienced. The playlist was epic, and people were dancing all night long. Thank you, Russ, for helping make our wedding everything we dreamed it would be.
